Thought for the day:
Why do Catholic priests have to stay single?
Every person longs for a special connection with another person. The Catholic religion asks priests to deny that part of themselves. I would think it would be a lifelong struggle to not form an attachment to a parishoner when they spend so much time serving the community/congregation.

Training, and a wonderful 4 day weekend.
I am finally back from training for a month. Usually I am able to stay at a hotel with free internet capable computers. The garfield charged you by the hour, so my whole goal of updating more than I usually do was killed rather quickly.
It was sooo much fun to be together with the 2007 hires though. We are pretty much family (minus a few black sheep) and spend alot of time together. I had great food, saw my first soapbox derby, and got flowers sent to me for the first time. :)
So, this weekend was my first weekend back to Columbus. It was WONDERFUL to sleep in my bed again. Garfield is definetly not the Hilton when it comes to bed quality.
I got my haircut Friday and I really like it. I have had the same hairstyle since I started with the IRS a year ago and although it looked great on me, I just wanted a change. Pre IRS I would change my hairstyle every couple of months.
Saturday, I went to the zoo with Carl. I got some great pictures and am so glad that I got a better digital camera last year. My favorites were the prarie dogs, pheasants, moose, and cardinal. My dislikes were the crazy bees that wouldn't leave us alone when we stopped to eat lunch! I was really worried about getting stung they were so persistent.
After the zoo, we went back to my house and Carl made me homemade pizza. Very Cheesy. I had fun watching him make it, but I don't think he is going to get his own cooking show anytime soon. He needs a catch phrase like "Yum-O."
Sun we went to church and came back to make pumpkin rolls. I used to make them every year with Krystle and Josh, so I thought I would be an expert. .... I messed up measuring the sugar, my pumpkin roll broke, but at least that gave Carl the opportunity to learn from my mistakes. =) Regardless it tastes delicious and I gave one to my neighbor for taking care of my house while I was gone.
Today I got my first allergy shots and they don't hurt too much. I have to go once a week 2x if possible. At first I was like 2x a week would be horrible, but since I have already paid my $300 deductible for the year I now only owe 10% on all medical procedures. So it would be cheaper for me if I went twice a week till the end of the year before my deductible starts over on 1/1.
I also went on a hike today to take nature photos for my room. I want to do a red, orange, yellow leaf theme and I thought it would be nice to take some pictures with my digital camera. I think I may have missed the perfect time while I was at training, because I didn't see much red out there. It was also really sunny out today, so I think maybe I need to try a different metropark in Columbus. I wish I was in Dayton still. They had wonderful shady trails to walk on.
Oh yeah, the highlight of my Cincy trip was the Redbull Soapbox Derby in Mt. Adams. They had some of the funniest cars ever and the place was packed with people. It was a really cool event.

Pictures from a coworkers wedding. She made a beautiful bride. I also made a purse for a charity that my Bible study leader was involved with. It is so cute!
